Background

As Three’s development partner Blue Beck created Wuntu, a native mobile app for Android and iOS that enables their customers to discover and redeem offers from many Three partners.

Wuntu Offers a range of free rewards, discounts and exclusive competitions, changing frequently with fresh new offers added every Wednesday. The app also learns over time to deliver offers that are tailored to the user.

On downloading the app customers are asked to fill in a few details and choose the free rewards they are most interested in - free Dominos pizza, beer from Majestic and coffee and cake from Patisserie Valerie A simple click to use is all it takes, the offer is stored and ready to be redeemed by entering a code online or showing it to the staff in-store

What we did

We provide full integration with Three’s self-care and partner platforms. To develop and support a product used monthly by millions of people that is reliable, secure and highly available requires expertise and experience.

The user experience is driven by a web base interface building tool built by Blue Beck. This manages the types of layout and which offers appear in each layout element. This powerful tool enables new layouts to be deployed without recourse to a new app release.

Outcomes

Over three million users have installed the app and redeemed offers. In December 2019 Three decided to withdraw the WUNTU app from sale with the aim to develop a new “Club Three” offering incorporating web, SMS, email and app offerings. Blue Beck is currently working to incorporate this within the Three App.
